Incidents: crossed into Canada, Chris had a tumble and a flat tire on the bridge

Daily Summary:

We all gathered at the hotel this morning in matching outfits to ride across into Canada together.  They closed the entire span of the bridge we were on while we cycled over it—what fun!  Christopher got his front wheel stuck in an expansion joint so took a trip over the handlebars on the way up, which also gave him a flat tire, so he had to get in the van.  We fixed his tire for him while we were waiting at the passport control and he rode to the SAG stop.   Everyone is loving the nice roads here in Canada after the pounding we took in Michigan.  Also, we had a nice tailwind today to blow us along, so it was quite a pleasant day.  This part of Canada is very agricultural, and it looks more affluent than the parts of Michigan we were in.  Other differences?  The houses are mostly brick, and the people all talk funny.

In the pictures below, you see our view to the back and to the front as we cross the bridge into Canada.  Then you see Chris on the bridge with the river in the background.  We couldn’t pose by the Welcome to Ontario sign as it was in the middle of the highway.  Raymond has been doing pushups and other exercises in the room to maintain his upper body strength on this trip, so he was happy to find a tractor to do some military presses with for his deltoids.
